Sraavya Akella
Dr. Akella enjoys all aspects of obstetric and gynecologic care, above all, the deeply meaningful connections with patients during important life milestones. Apart from enjoying delivering babies and performing gynecological surgery, she has a special interest in adolescent gynecology, minority reproductive health and providing gender affirming care.
She sees patients on Monday afternoon, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Her Monday mornings are committed to surgery.

Dr. Akella is from Des Moines, Iowa, and joins our practice from the University of Iowa where she received her undergraduate and medical degrees and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
When away from work, Dr. Akella values time spent with friends and family. Her hobbies include making music, exploring Columbia, learning languages, and trying new recipes with her husband. She’s excited to become a part of the community and be a Mizzou Tigers fan!
