Sonohysterogram

Sonohysterography, also known as saline ultrasound, is a technique in which fluid is injected through the cervix into the uterus, and an ultrasound is used to make images of the uterine cavity. With a sonohysterogram, the fluid shows more detail of the inside of the uterus than when ultrasound is used alone. The procedure can be done in a health care provider’s office, hospital, or clinic. It usually takes about 15 minutes.

Diagnostic Hysteroscopy

Diagnostic hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure where our specialists examine the inside of your uterus using a thin, lighted instrument called a hysteroscope. During the procedure, this advanced camera system is gently inserted through the vagina and cervix, allowing us to clearly view the uterine cavity on a screen and identify potential issues such as fibroids, polyps, or other abnormalities. The procedure typically takes 15-30 minutes and can be performed in our office with local anesthesia for your comfort. We often recommend this diagnostic procedure to investigate concerns such as abnormal bleeding, infertility, or suspected growths within the uterus.
