Dr. Sarah E. (Franken) Bernard is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. A native of Carrollton, Missouri, Dr. Bernard received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2006. Dr. Bernard completed her residency training at Banner Good Samaritan in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Bernard has enjoyed building her private practice in mid-Missouri. “The best part of practicing in mid-Missouri is cultivating meaningful relationships with my patients and discovering connections they may have with my co-workers or even the Carrollton area,” says Dr. Bernard. She has focused her career on providing prenatal care including higher risk pregnancies as well as gynecologic visits, annual well-woman exams, and gynecologic procedures such as minimally invasive surgeries.
Dr. Bernard enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include exploring Columbia and she may be spotted at local dog parks with the family golden retriever, hiking, attending the True/False Film Festival, or dining at one of her favorite restaurants. Dr. Bernard and her husband welcomed twins in 2016.
