Dr. Borgmeyer is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. As a native of Columbia, Dr. Borgmeyer completed his undergraduate and medical school training at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Following medical school, he completed his training in OB/GYN at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. While always intending on returning to Columbia after his training, Dr. Borgmeyer decided to serve his country in the United States Air Force as an active duty Obstetrician/Gynecologist following residency.
As a Major, he served as interim Chief of the Medical Staff and was chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the second largest obstetrical service in the Air Force. As his family continued to grow, Dr. Borgmeyer decided it was time to return home and be near his family.
Dr. Borgmeyer met his wife of over 20 years in high school. They married after both graduating from the University of Missouri. Upon returning to Columbia, Dr. Borgmeyer looks forward to introducing his three children to the Mizzou Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals. The entire family is looking forward to growing in their hometown community and church.
During his time at the University of North Carolina, Dr. Borgmeyer received specific training for minimally invasive surgery to include da Vinci robotic surgery, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. His personal interests also include complicated obstetrics, contraception, menstrual disorders and infertility.
